Was reluctant to go out at first as it clouded over and I didn't wanna face the prospect of getting into a cold damp wetsuit. Thats the worst thing about goin out this time of year.
Once out, conditions were good and again there were loadsa people on the water enjoyin themselves. Wind was a tad it light at times so trynna stay upwind was a challenge at the best of times.
Tryin all sorts of tricks with loadsa good wipeouts. It all ended when I downlooped switching to toe side and I came unhooked. Grabbed the leash and brought the kite in; then grabbed the chicken loop but accidentally pulled the safety so I had to abandon the kite and retrieve the tangled mess. Kite deflated like it did to me in SA so I was like "shiiiiiit - not again".
Untangled it all and the tube linking the leading edge bladder to the tip strut bladder had popped out and gone for walkies. Think the lines tangled ripping it out. Definately need to put the 'mod' on as this is the third time its happened to me so I'm pretty grateful I wasn't miles out at sea.
Later spoke to this other guy and he had the same happen to him a few months ago.
